Scientists Discover Unexpected Link Between Coffee and Longevity

In a new study published in the *International Journal of Epidemiology*, scientists have discovered an unexpected link between regular coffee consumption and increased lifespan. The study, conducted on a large group of volunteers aged 50 to 70, showed that individuals who drank two to three cups of coffee per day had a 10% lower risk of premature death compared to those who did not drink coffee. Scientists hypothesize that this may be due to the high antioxidant content in coffee, which helps protect cells from damage and prevents the development of chronic diseases. However, researchers emphasize that further studies are needed to confirm these findings and elucidate the exact mechanism by which coffee affects lifespan. At the same time, they advise enjoying coffee in moderation, noting that excessive coffee consumption can have negative health consequences.
